Walking Dead
Just got a hold of the first 14 issues of this comic...wow. Fantastic, great story, the arts a little strange after ish 7 or so but it fits. I'm always a sucker for zombie stuff (Shaun of the Dead! whoowhoo) but this book realy is more than just a zombie book, it's a book about people, survival and family, usualy that kind of crap makes me want to vomit but Robert Kirkman has managed to not only make it enjoyable but entrancing.
Issue 15 should be out 2/2, can't wait. Did a quick look around and you can find the TPB at most books a millions or barnes and nobles go or order it, read and enjoy

House of flying daggers
...
I've had a lot of trouble trying to come up with a way to start this, some rants have been longer than others in my head but i think i'll go with the short one.
House of flying daggers...is like....well...have you ever thrown a kitchen knife, not out of anger, but because you thought it might work like a throwing nife (the kind ment to be thrown, not just one that's in the air) and fly all cool and shit and land THUNK! into something? But instead it just kind of clacks into the wall and falls on the floor. And generaly the whole thing is more of an exercise in spastic kentic energy that ends patheticly, with little sound or fury, but still signifing nothing.
This is the action of HOFD.
House of flying daggers...is like...well...have your or any one else, maybe in health class or durring some kind of first aid/cpr traning of some kind, 'touched' in some kind of inaproprate maner the resusci-annie doll. It's horrible but some one always does, (why god to they put breasts on those things?!). Well if you have or have seen some one do that, you know it's about as close to a necro experance you can have without getting arrested.
This is the love story/making of HOFD.
So in short if you want to "enjoy" HOFD with out having to see the movie, which may very well be good if your having a bit of insomnia.
I'd suggest getting a kitchen knife (not a good one, one of those crapy 'steak' knifes we all have) and toss it at things in your house, don't throw it, for god sakes you might break something or enjoy yourself.
Intermix that with running aimlessly in your back yard (some times limp from a 'wound' you've suffered, some times just forget about that and run around like your fine) and if you have a log or branch, or even a pile of leaves (though it may move too much to really capture the essase of this step) and hump it for a while...well not so much hump as gum, then get bored and wonder away.
And finaly, wait till there is a blizard, go out into the snow, and die...wait not really dead! then really die.
Angry Rating: -2 out of 10
Yes it sucks that hard, and not even remotly close to any kind of a good way.
*edit* this crap movie isn't worth the extra effort of making an extended entry, just don't go see it, rent crounching tiger hidden dragon and enjoy that.

NES
So, got one of the coolest presents one can get, an original new in box NES. That's right, never used, never turned on brand fucking new NES. So I'm taking it out of its box right, piece by piece, light gun(2), controllers, game, then i flip the lid open of the hell of it and what the fuck is in there?! another game, a god damn awsome as hell bootleg cart(2) from 1988! 250 ripped games! holy shit, stayed up with the gf until 3am playing games neither of us had played since we were kids. Wierd thing though about it, it's not a first run NES (nes came out i think in '85 this ones dated '88) and since it's from canada everything in english and french, kind of funny.
Only wierd thing about playing the system, you start to notice when most of these games where made and ya start to feel kind of old, which is wierd thinking i'm only 22. Then I realized there are other gamers out there now, people i've prolly played games with online (WoW, haflife etc) might not have even been alive or were infants when i was playing some of these games new...little bit of a strange feeling.
That a side, having an NES fucking rocks, just wanted to let you know.

First post of '05...only 4 days late...yeah
so yeah, getting a little behind with things. Not a whole helluva lot going on, gf is back from her trip to the frozen wastes of the north, so yay! :)
In other news, i don't know why but i find gabe's section really funny of this wow themed post from a few days ago over at penny arcade.
Angryjezus on elune is now lvl 13, that's right i've fallen to the dark side...a paladin, the apparent ubermench of wow if you read their forums just wait a sec and you'll prolly see a few posts bitching "oh damn paladans beat my ass, ooohoa" some such other nonsense, which leads me to...
some guy on line started a duel with me (equal level mage) i beat him and he was cool about it (he came pretty close to whooping me too) then another mage comes along, whoop him in a duel he starts complaining that palis are too powerful...he's a mage, a frail cloth wearer...(lewis black voice) OF COURSE HE'S GONNA FUCKING LOSE ONE ON ONE TO A PALADIN!...sorry sorry but damn i've got a big fucking hammer, you've got what a stick? in a group me fighting another tank and you zapping the shit out of me then yeah you'd win, but one on one no worky, sorry just had to get that out.
other than some whinners aside having fun with wow.
lets see what else, Oh in case i've forgot to post it already go to http://eklipz.dyndns.org/ Now! i command it!
Current State: Suprisingly rested....
